Daily abstract reasoning practice, measured honestly.

IQ WARS is built around matrix-style visual reasoning because it is language-light, globally playable, and closely related to fluid-reasoning tasks. The honest claim is narrower than brain-training marketing: daily play can build pattern fluency, rule search, and competitive evidence over time, but we do not claim a browser game clinically raises innate IQ.

Testing standards set the bar for validity, fairness, reliability, scoring, and use.

The Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing are the best-practice reference for serious assessment claims. IQ WARS follows the spirit of those standards by separating competitive game scores from clinical or high-stakes claims.

Item Response Theory explains why more answers improve score confidence.

IRT models connect item difficulty, response data, scoring, validation, and test linking. IQ WARS is not yet a calibrated IRT exam, but the product direction is aligned with accumulating item-level evidence over repeated official runs.

Matrix reasoning has a cognitive model, not just vibes.

Carpenter, Just, and Shell modeled Raven-style item solving as rule induction, goal management, and visual-relation integration. IQ WARS uses that tradition for daily competitive reasoning, not clinical diagnosis.

Early working-memory training found promising transfer.

Jaeggi and colleagues reported fluid-intelligence gains after adaptive working-memory training. That result is part of the reason brain-training claims became popular.

Meta-analysis makes the launch claim narrower.

Melby-Lervag and Hulme found working-memory training reliably improves practiced tasks, but broad, durable transfer to intelligence measures is much less certain.

Commercial brain-training claims need high evidence.

Simons and colleagues reviewed the field and found strong evidence for trained-task improvement, weaker evidence for near transfer, and little evidence for everyday far transfer.

Raven-style tasks are now also AI reasoning benchmarks.

Modern RPM-style datasets and reviews use visual analogy problems to test whether machine systems learn relations, rules, and abstractions rather than memorized templates.

What daily play can improve

Pattern fluency, rule search, visual checking, attention under time pressure, and familiarity with common abstract-reasoning transformations.

What IQ WARS measures

One official daily run, timing, accuracy, proof-checked answers, friend-room rankings, geography boards, and rolling performance confidence as more answers accumulate.

What remains unproven

Broad, durable increases in general intelligence from generic brain games are disputed. IQ WARS reports game performance and rolling competitive signals, not clinical IQ certification.
